Enclosure No.6.

Police Sergeant A.162 W. Williamson, Officer in Charge Ping Shan, States:-
At about 09.00 hours on the 12th December, 1937 I
arrived at Yung Long Wan with the Divisional Inspector North to
make enquiries into an incident that had occurred there on the
11th December, 1937.
I collected a number of people who were there when the incident occurred and took them to the visional Inspector North who was taking statements.
The scene is a valley running back from a bay and is bounded by hills. Through the back of the hills runs a main path through a pass leading to Nam Long and Lung Ku Ten. The hills formed a half circle with a 300 yards radius from the Wing Yeung Company which is on the foreshore in the centre of
the beach.
I was shown two shells, one lying on the sand in front of the Wing Yeung Company on the north side of the gate, the other was lying outside the matshed of the Sam Hing Company, about 20 yards back from the foreshore and about 100 to 125 yards south of the Wing Yeung Company. (See attached rough sketch). I searched the whole valley, Chan Sing show me places where the shells were found (mark on rough plan).
At the foot of the hills I found life belts and equip- ment. In the pass leading to Nam Long I found a suit of Chinese Maritime Customs uniform marked "Hong Sing" and a uniform cap. In the paddy fields on the south east side of Wing Yeung Company I found a wet suit of overalls with a bunch of keys in the pocket.
In the stream bed I found a number of red sashes. About 20 yards back from the beach between the Sam Hing Company and the Wing Yeung Company I found a scar about 7 feet long which passed under
and uprooted a large cactus bush. About 35 yards behind this and in a direct line I found another scar leading to a hole through a low bank about 7 yards beyond which a shell marked 754 had been found and afterwards removed to the front of the Wing
